Here is part uno of my recent Spanish adventure in photographs. We spent two nights in the city of Madrid, staying in the cool and hip area of Tribunal. As Chris and I didn't know much about the city we played it by ear and kept it chill by walking aimlessly around. We later met our good friend Jeremias who knows the city well and visited the Royal Palace and a nice space called Matadero which is a developed creative space. Food wise we ate a bunch of yum tapas and drank beers in cute little tumblers all at 11pm as it is the norm there to eat dinner late. Near our place we came across a cute cafe called Toma where some guy was taking pictures of us drinking our coffees for some local magazine, so our faces may be circulating somewhere! As we knew we were not staying long we opted for a pricey hop on and off open tour bus ticket just to cover all the city and seeing a glimpse of what all the little neighbourhoods had to offer. Tour buses are something I rarely do on holidays but it is a nice easy way to cover lots of ground. I really thought I was going to go to Barcelona this year after hearing so many good stories from friends so it was a surprise that I ended up in Madrid but I was so happy I did as it has so much going on, and is very modern but still very Spanish. After we left the city we drove further out to a region called Extremadura, and those photos will come soon after! Spainstagrams!
