So here I am, keeping up with another style post! Today I call this look, 'a nod to the seventies'. The key elements here are the wide brim hat, hair out and the printed top. The top I am actually wearing is a "The Bamboo District" top, from you know...when I used to sell clothes. Oh how I miss those days. I went to breakfast in Warren Street a few weeks back in a sweet spot called Honey & Co and the floor tiles looked like my top, I think this print is more of a Moroccan tile style then the usual East Orient or West African styles I usually wear. My wide brim hat is from Forever 21 in San Francisco, I love it so much but my big head means it keeps blowing off in the wind. Does anyone else know of any tricks for fat skulled hat wearers? FYI I have a 2ft head. To stop my look becoming too "Almost Famous" (as I too was wearing my brown faux fur coat in my old post when going to work) I teamed it with some basic skinnies, black chelsea boots and a man cardigan which have better slouchy fits then women's cuts. You can get a similar look with the items available in these shops now: 1. Super stretch skinny jeans in light blue: Uniqlo, 2. Floppy Hat in black: Topshop, 3.Pure Lambswool V-Neck Cardigan: M&S, 4. Black Ankle Strap boot: Dorothy Perkins, 5.Print Blouse: ASOS

I wanted to add more Personal Style posts on my blog. Not to toot my own horn but I have quite a nice collection of garments that I have accumulated over the years and use them to channel a mood or even a character via my outfit choice. HOWEVER, regardless of the fact that I am writing this style post the effort to pose and take a photo that doesn't look poop is sooooo taxing!. Plus it was dark and my camera isn't that great so bloggers like Sincerely Jules and Natalie Off Duty don't need to watch their backs just as of yet, haha. My outfit is Beatnik and weirdly 90s MTV inspired. The all black turtleneck and body con mini with black shoes made me feel poetic, and teamed with the faux fur and bowler hat gave it that grunge feel (see 90s flick Singles for what I mean). Obvs as it is winter and freezing, I opted for tights but as I didn't want black overload I opted for burgundy tights. They could of been any coloured pair I had but thankfully burgs it was, it coincidentally matched my lipstick I was wearing that rubbed off after eating a Pad Thai and before these photos were taken. The look made me feel chic, cool and feminine...and sassy to boot! If you wanted to try this look out or a variation of it I have added some examples of where to get the bits below. 1. Black cropped Turtle Neck, 3. Faux Fur Coat 4. Black Jersey Mini skirt & 6. Black bowler Hat: ASOS 2. Black Pump with gold toe cap: New Look, 5. Burgundy Tights: Tabio Look even the models, actresses and style bloggers are at it!
