Now we can proceed.
Image: Lincoln Pilcher Design: The Bamboo District Not long ago I was rabbitting on about how much I adore fashion editorials based on the 50s, no matter how played out they can be. So it is really no surprise that this shoot for Vogue China featuring models Wang Xiao, Lily Zhi and Zhao Lei made me open mouth smiley face, and end up as an Editorial Envy on my blog. The thing about why I never get bored of these type of shoots is that in Fashion the combination of factors are endless, and therefore the freshness comes out of the collaboration. Very rarely you would see an all Asian cast in such an iconic American setting, and with such western styling. Granted, this IS for Vogue China, but there is an accessibility here that Eastern and Western people can appreciate. Read on to have a look at more photos from the shoot. Oh wait! Actually before we look at the rest here are a few of my reviews of this editorial. 1) Boys in leather...swoon. 2) This really really really makes me miss my fringe (aka bangs for you yanks) 3) I want that car! Gimme!
Now we can proceed.
