This past week has been so special, and a wonderful step through memory lane too! My good friend Hetal got married this weekend; we have been friends since secondary school and still enjoy many laughs and dinners to this day. We were put in the same form class in year 7 and with two other friends formed a little group called the Awesome Foursome, haha. Fun fact, three members of said crew would of been married in 2014, if you are reading this Jigna, there's still time for you! The days leading up to the ceremony which was on the Saturday lead me to paths once frequently trodden but not visited for years; as I had to visit my friends' homes which were near our old Secondary School (Claremont Massive, what what!). It was strange walking the streets that shaped my youth. I had to go and try on Saris the Tuesday which are really tricky to put on; and then on Thursday attended the Mehndi night, where people can get awesome designs painted on their hands, eat awesome food and watch awesome dancing. Chris accompanied me for the ceremony and reception on Saturday. He looked sooooooo handsome. His blazer and trousers were from Zara, which fantastically had a sale on. The jacket was £90 off! The ceremony was interesting to watch. We could choose to get up and have a look closer, and the Priest didn't have a microphone or anything, so people were free to chatter and wander around...we were even given ice cream at one point. The Bridal Couple looked amazing; I nearly cried when I saw Hetal coming down the aisle...I AM A SAP. Actually everyone looked great, so much colour, sparkle and coolness is involved in Indian Wedding attire. After the first part we went home for under three hours, I fell asleep and had to rush to get ready for the Reception which was so much fun. Uncles and Aunties LOVE to dance. I didn't take many photos as my battery died, but here is one of my and my girl Jigna!
