Images of beautiful women from the past are on tap on this site and it is a nice collection of fashion and styling that is so rarely seen in the main stream. Also, with every photo and post a lot of care and research has been taken to add as much information about the person and the era the photographs display. This is not only a wonderful visual experience but an educational experience too.
Writer and curator of the blog Minh-Ha T. Pham is an Assistant Professor (boom!) in Cornell University, USA. A pure poltical academic and equally a fashion enthusiast she manages to combine the two when it come to her studies and research paper. Read more about her here.
In general I do not believe in the segregation of media according to different races but there is an undoubted majority of European led base when it does comes to fashion and art imagery, especially when labelled vintage. As a British Filipina with interests in this area I loved seeing styles and fashions being worn effortlessly by ladies who look similar to me, and therefore giving me a more precise form of reference when influenced to try out a 'vintage' look instead of just looking to mainstream vintage/retro beauties like Betty Page, Jane Birkin and Brigit Bardot.
