It's fantastic how things come back round again. While looking at the edits from NY and London fashion weeks it looks like our dear friend Peplum has popped up to say hello. Seen in Burberry and Mary Katrantzou, this little waist detail will be popular for the rest of the year, over summer and back again when it's cold. Have a look at one of The Bamboo District's Peplum offerings circa 2009. More to come this summer!
Nat wears, Jeans Uni Qlo, Thrift red jumper, Black H&M boots. Theo wears...I have no idea. Image and Design: The Bamboo District I haven't done a twinsies for ages, I guess the Sistertron and I have not been syncing in the style stakes recently. However my ability to be a chameleon is not limited to the family blood line but also within the four walls of the office I work in. So you can image how I giggled when I noticed that ol' Theo and I were in the same exact colours...we also had moss green overcoats too but didn't take a picture of them. Seeing as we are both Arsenal FC fans maybe it was all in the air!
When talking about fashion editorials I am a sucker for the following played out locations. 50s diners, carousels, backs of cars, fields with bales of hay and most of all American High Schools. That is why I love this look book for Luv AJ. The styling is colourful, feminine and still rebellious. Amazing accessories and seal the looks and the cut out skull jumper is now on my ever growing DIY list. If only I didn't have to wear a uniform at school, I wonder if I would of ever dressed this cool! *sigh*...however now that I think of it I did have pink hair! Do I get cool points now? PINK LADY: Luv AJ Lookbook from Claire Thomas on Vimeo. Here is a little sneaky sneak into my brain right now. Still trying to work out different elements to the collection and I have been leaning towards vintage holiday posters as a theme for my tshirts. Just an idea for now but a very strong one. I really like the vibrancy of the colours but still figuring out how I will actually want the design. After buying my flight, and starting the planning the excitement is really starting to kick in, but also the nerves. So much to sort out before I go, eeek! That also leads me to another point...but I will talk about that another time...
