Photos and Design: The Bamboo District
"Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!" Is what I was saying to myself last saturday as my alarm jangled ay 5.30am to get up for the shoot. Apart from the first 10mins of feeling like a zombie I finally perked up and was ready for the packed morning shooting a fashion feature for Magnify Musings. Working with awesome photographer Ben Wetherall, Yen Vuong for Make up and my sister Telly assisting in styling this team was a blast to work with.
I did a post earlier this year about digitally manipulating photos to make them more 'useable'. Well that past example was a case of deleting erroneous elements...this new example is a case of merging two photos to get the ultimate composition. Too be honest I think I pretty much lucked out in the positioning of the faces in the two pictures but regardless, I love the final shot!
I was watching the behind the scenes of the New Rihanna video for We found love when I saw it was Melina who was directing it. i have watched numerous behind the scenes of music videos before and have realised that she was the same female director who used to pop up here and there. I thought then she was cool, but now after even more research found out she has done some other equally cool stuff.
Redhead ladies are total babes. Brazilian model Cintia Dicker and American model Karen Elson represent two different types of fiery beauty, and cartoon favourites a la' Ariel of Little Mermaid fame and Jessica Rabbit are seen as culturally iconic. So why oh why am I engrossed with Big Reds at the moment you may be asking, well I am currently working on producing a photoshoot next week and our beautiful model is a lovely scarlet hair girl. I have been researching looks, and past photoshoots, hair ideas and make up trends that would suit her. As I like to share what I am going through with my readers I thought I would share what great things in the Red world I have found too!
All photos by Giuseppe Savini
Photographer Giuseppe Savini scooted around Bologna with his collection of vintage photographs and found the modern day locations they were taken in. What a brilliant idea!
Last tuesday I attended an Art auction I was invited to by some people my boy has been working with. I donned some heels and headed to Westborne Grove in West London and enjoyed an evening of art, champagne and sports media people spotting...

Recently I've been gon' cray about good suits. Boys and girls what is better than a handsome man? It is a handsome man in sharpe attire. Yes. I really do not know what it is but as equally as the majority of guys like to see girls in dresses, women can't help to double take at an amazingly fitted suit. So I give you my second boy catered post, this one is a little more specific; so hopefully be inspired and step out a little the next time the occasion calls for it.
Krys wears ALL clothes from French Connection, accessories vintage. Nat wears French connection shorts, Uniqlo coat and H&M boots and jumper.
Dry leaves on the ground!!! That leaves (haha...do you get it?) a total wardrobe changeover to be had. Well surprise surprise when I found this morning both sissy and I wintering up our shorts ready for this weather. Rock it waisted style with a nice smart shirt like Krystel or go casual quirky like me with an a patterned pair and over sized sweater. The ultimate trick? Drape it all over with a nice winter coat lace up some black ankle booties and finish it with seasonal accessories...oh yes and some nice tights!
