This past weekend I played assistant to my boyfriend while he was at work filming a project that is to be released soon. We were based at the awesomely cool Motel Studios in Hoxton London. It had beautiful brick work, lovely high ceilings and fun quirky props strewn around, including an array of electric guitars! I thought I would show some piccies as it was a cool, different weekend to experience. In between takes we look portraits against the white wall and I added mine...which makes me look Alienish but I like it! In other news...STOCKHOLM ON THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOooooooOOOooooaaAAAAaaaH! Check this throwback Editorial from Vogue China 2012 for their Designer Collections series. Models Tian Yi, Bonnie Chen, Miao Bin Si, Danni Li and Ma Jing dressed head to toe in LV look stunning, fresh and fun in these homage to the Louis Vuitton campaign a few seasons ago. The hair, make up and colour palettes are still so relevant to now that I couldn't help post this up. When Googling this I came across some behind the scenes images of this shoot too which is so interesting to see when the final images are hyper produced. I have never been shy about my adoration of this woman! Solange Knowles has knocked it out again with this beautifully funky video for her latest single Lovers in the Parking lot. THe fashion, the location...THE DANCE MOVES. Ugh, PERFECT!
I found some old photos from last year I had not put up yet. I spent 5 days driving around Europe with my boyfriends Mexican family who visited while the Olympics were on. We went to Amsterdam, Belgium and Germany. I took a bunch of scenic photos but here are more family fun ones! Enjoy! xx
Photo via: Street Etiquette Slumflower, the recent project from Style duo Street Etiquette is an editorial based on a short film they are producing. Shot by Photographer Rog Walker in collaboration with VSCO the story of the visuals follows the story of a cute young boy in the 'Slums' of New York. Trying to show a different light than the stereotyped ghetto vibe of the NY Projects, the kid surrounded by his older counter parts are dressed slick and handsome bringing a different visual offering than what is usually seen. Seriously, this whole editorial is beautiful and you should all look at the whole thing over at Slumflower.com. It will be the best thing you will look at this week. Photos via Slumflower
Fashion Week NYC is/was in full effect. I have been keeping an eye on some blogger reviews online and there is some really cute things coming up for S/S next year. New York for me is the least adventurous in their offerings but the designers have the best wearable aspects from the like of Oscar de la Renta, Victoria Beckham, Sass & Bide and of course J.Crew. Style.com is the best place to see the full collections in my opinion. I was in a doodle mood this afternoon and scribbled this version of a J.Crew outfit. I may be doing this more often over the next few weeks. I will defo try and do one at least for each city.
Last week I posted about a wedding I was going to and was deciding what to wear out of two dresses. I chose the yellow one and I went about 'Unprettifying' it by throwing on a nice slouchy kimono jacket, adding an African inspired necklace and wearing my hair down to contrast the prom aspect of the dress. It was a lovely wedding, the bride was STUNNING and the Church service was really special as it was both in English AND Chinese. The Chinese part of the guests sang a hymn in their language and it was beautiful. I think this is the last wedding I will be attending this year and what a good one to end it on.
Here are some random pics from the night. They are a collection of mine and friends instagrams! In continuation of my Scandinavian love affair this Editorial form Elle Norway is PERFection! Jorgen Gommes captures the stunning Isabele with both outdoor location shots in what looks like an abandoned lot, a dump basically and studio stills. Connie Berg is the linchpin in creating an edgy look mixed with luxurious tones served by the colour palette and fabrics. As Autumn approaches, looks like these make saying goodbye to my short shorts a lot easier.
