Burberry Prorsum
Yves Saint Laurent
There have only ever been two designer outfits that I have ever even slightly considered buying (with my imaginary pot of gold). They are a few years old from past seasons but I stumbled across an image of one recently and it reminded me of them. I put this up just for fun...and also as I turn 25 soon...very soon. Therefore, #justsayin. Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Burberry Prorsum Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear

I'm at the office currently, I have some down time at the moment to create a post. So alongside all my little side projects that I dabble with I actually have a full time 9-5, working for a media company. This my friends is to pay the bills. Like many chasing the creative dream, one also needs to support themselves, but sometimes when sitting infront of my computer at my desk I can't help daydream about taking THAT BIG STEP.
Like anything you want to do well you need to invest time in to it. There are plenty of things I would love to persue that I can't being chained to my desk (which by the standards of some places out there my job is lovely, don't get me wrong) and more and more there is a desire bubbling up to make a big decision...what it is I don't know, only that it will be BIG. This is just my random thoughts floating through to you all right now, maybe it is because I am turning 25 soon and feeling that quater life crisis that looms. What are your dreams, and fears out there? Nat xx A couple of weeks back I posted a behind the scenes of a shoot I did for Benjart UK, a really popular Streetwear brand birthed here in London Town. Jerone, the MD and I went to Primary School together in North West London and years down the line our paths crossed again to work on this new collaboration. Check out their new pieces and to keep up to date on wha gwan on the Streetwear scene at: www.benjartclothing.com
My sister Tel won £100 off a total food food at Camden's Shaka Zulu's African inspired resturant. We had a good time and ate lot's of food and drunk wine...I even made friends with a lion...
I wanted to be Shannyn Sossamon. Here is a little throwback to some old skool girl crushin. I thought she was the coolest and most beautiful thing ever, and what tipped it over...she was part FIli, haaaay! In the mainstream world people know her most for 40 Days and 40 Nights with Josh Hartnett (where is he now?) and the Knight film with Heath Ledger. Not only was she an actress but a DJ and a Model. What made me do a post about her now, after all these years? Well I was scoping some other blogs today and stumbled upon her picture and it all ignited again. So here is a little insight to me...when other dreamt of being posh Spice and Jennifer Aniston, I wanted to be HER! Pretty Pretty Shannyn... And yes...I even had there haircut!
Among all the photography, styling, blogging etc I can't forget that the genesis of THE BAMBOO DISTRICT is clothes! And lovely, colourful tropical inspired pieces to boot. Leading up to my sister's wedding (only 3 weeks to go...eeeeek!) I have been thinking what I will be doing when it is over and I get my life back, and yes...I thought of the clothes.
In the mean time I sketch and doodle certain ideas, here are some I have done and tried to execute in the past, and some where for the time being are just dreams... |
