Graphic elements found here Oh how quickly a year rolls over. It feels like only yesterday I was covering my eyes and ears traumatized by the scenes in Korean Film hit The Chaser, sitting front row in a small room in the Korean Cultural center located on The Strand, people sitting on the floor squirming too at what was happening in the film, though gruesome, seriously gripping. This was just one of the many screenings part of the Korean Film Festival in London. Korea has been producing some really amazing movies, most of them enjoyed by niche group of film buffs and students abroad but there are the few breakouts that get people excited such like thriller Old Boy. What is cool about the festival is not only the array of genres they show, and the director Q&As BUT that lot's of the screenings are FREEEEEE! The big film of the festival this year is The Thieves which boasts one of the largest co productions in Korean Cinema and crosses over to Hong Kong cinema with a mixed cast. All my Korean friends here are keen to see this one so if that is not a good recommendation in itself I do not know what it. Visit The Korean Film Festival website to see the listings and see what might take your fancy.

The beauty of long hair...though I still do not do enough things with it...any other style suggestions people?
All Pictures by Yin Chao for Harpers Oh lala! What delicious imagery we have before us. Classic looks, against classic landmarks are on the agenda here, and modernised with the beauty that is model Miao Bin Si. To me these pictures reflect the gamine beauty of Audrey Hepburn with a heightened luxurious and expensive sensibility, and it is a nice mix. I love editorials that mix the East and West and these images do that so perfectly. Pictures via FGR
I am addicted to 'slacks', especially my new graphic print ones above from H&M. I generally steer away from a bold, statement high street product due to the 'twosies' factor and potential embarrassment of rocking up with someone else wearing them too (I already saw a girl in Le Pan with them on the day I bought them, doh). However, my shortness loves the fact that these trousers are actually supposed to be 'cropped' for taller girls but they look like a cigarette cut on me (with a little bit of sewing on my part, they were a little too big). So, yes. This was my simple but fave outfit this week, it kind of looked like I was wearing my pajamas but the most important thing was it FELT like I was in my pajamas, they were so comfy, and still cute. The Lilac jumper was a piece I liberated from an elderly neighbour of my Uncle's who gave him four bin liners of clothes to give to charity but he sneakily let us have a look first before he dropped them off. The shoes...Primark. Standard.
All available to buy online With all the other chitter chatter I put on my blog it is good have the chance to represent and showcase the cool stuff my friends do too. Readers who follow the site will know that I have worked with my friends brand Benjart before, working on some cool look-book images and some product images for their store. Well they have a collection of super cool warm hoodies and sweaters that have just been recently uploaded that I am sure you would love if you generally like that sort of style. Oh and I forgot to mention, the tee above, that features a photo produced by me and taken by Chris (the boyf)! They have been out since summer and I have been happy reading people's nice responses about it. That is always something that encourages you to be creative when you get some validation like that. The boys are on twitter, facebook and instagram and knock out really cool deals and competitions so follow them too, they are really working hard doing what they are doing and you will definitely be seeing them getting bigger and better as time moves on!
Whoopie!!! I have a new phone...a phone that now has Instagram capabilities!! I used to be a sneeky poster prior to getting this phone, setting up an account on my Momz phone (so sad) and lurked everyone else's posts using Webstagram (which is awesome fyi). I am very excited about taking fancy pictures of all my meals, which comes to think of it I totally forgot to snap my baked potato, cheese and beans at lunch....would of been cool through a Valencia filter.... :p In seriousness though, it is a great app and I am looking to capturing some cool moments which you can all see if you follow @mamabamboo. Feel free to call me out though if I post too many potato pics though.
Image found here Midnight in New York the new song and video for Solange Knowles' tune Losing You came out. It's amazing!! The song is so pretty, and chilled but with a groove beat and the video is stunning. Set in South Africa, she has sharp suited men dancing about, she herself is dressed in such amazing clothes and her extras are all freakin good looking and are all having a great time. Directed by Melina Matsoukas (who I have written about before) this is another video of hers that join her bank of other visual delights. Enjoy, the video is below! Image found here Bloody love this lady. 'Plus' model Naomi is a babe personified in my eyes. Seen in all the plus ranges for online clothing stores such as Forever 21, Asos Curve and Simply Be she might be a familiar face of you skim those sites. However, when modelling shop projects models regardless of their size can look like such bores so it was nice to finally have the time to search some of Naomi's editorial work. Looking at her videos too, it shows she is a fun loving, sweet girl to boot. Her everyday style is cool, very much reflective of the East London streets where she resides, and she is Asian so basically means I am going to copy all of her cool hair and make up ideas too! Have a look at her personal Blog too, but for now have a look at some of my fave images I have seen of her.
