PS. 100 days until I get married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mentioned previously that I turned 28 last month. I went out for dinner with my babe man, yummed down and drank an awesome Lychee and Chilli cocktail. Obviously I wanted to dress up but I am not really a dressy dressy person. In the end I donned a simple long sleeved floral shift dress which I picked up a few years back at a vintage shop, my hazy memory thinks it was Beyond Retro. Also, the Genesis of this dress did not look as it does now, no no no. It started life as one of those 80s mid length waisted dresses that you see in droves in vintage shops. The kind that no modern girl would see dead in but in a print that you just want so bad. I took the elasticated waistband out, and shortened it. A little snip snip, sew sew and you get your own one of a kind -to- you dress. I wore it with my pink floppy felt hat which gave it a 70s vibe, and popped all the white accents of the dress with a white manicure which surprisingly didn't look like I tippexed my nails; and some white pointy sling back shoes. Shortly after this photo was taken however the thin heel of my shoe got stuck in a pavement crack and snapped the strap! :( I threw them away after; I left them by a bin in Soho Square ornately adding to the mystery of abandoned shoes across the world, but this time you know the story of mine. With one of my best friends Lena who 14 years ago, who went to see Shrek and eat McDonalds with me when it was my birthday then! I turned 28 over the weekend. It's weird as I can fully remember being younger and thinking what my life would be like at 28; let's just say that I thought I would be more "grown up" then what I currently feel. With that being said, I couldn't be more grateful at all the beautiful things I have seen, fantastic people I have met and accomplishments I have achieved. This weekend of celebrating was the most chilled I have had for a while. I took the day off to treat myself to a ManiPedi (I chose white nails which I already scuffed while rummaging through my handbag later that evening, wahhh!), caught a film with the middle sissy and was treated to an amazing dinner at Chotto Matte which is a Japanese and Peruvian fusion from the man. Plus the film I saw earlier was Chef which is basically food porn so my dinner definitely hit all the cravings I had during those two hours. The day after I decided to have brunch with friends and opt out of a house bbq which I had done the previous years, we hit up Jackson and Rye and ate a lot of eggs. Outside Chotto Matte with my white nails, my work birthday cake and the sweetest baby Chloe. Later that Saturday we sauntered over to the other sissy's house as her birthday is two days after mine. We enjoyed some food, rum, World Cup and Metallica rocking out at Glastonbury courtesy of BBC2. Her school friends were there and they brought their kids, who were mingling with all the big adults which made me realize how party dynamics change as you get older. Speaking of little people, I also enjoyed getting to meet my cousin's baby who is only 3 weeks old. Baby Chloe is the most gorgeous little creature I have seen, plus I was quite jealous of her as she slept all day and only woke up to eat. In my 28 years in this dog eat dog world, I wouldn't mind trading with her once in a while. :)

Today is my 25th birthday! *GASP* From midnight and until now I have received such lovely Phone calls, emails, Facebook messages, twitters and voicemails from friends and family far and wide and in real life been showered with hugs, kisses and great conversation over food! I really just want to say thank you to you all, it really means a lot. I am so happy that within these 25 years I was blessed enough to get to meet you all for you to imprint on all my experiences some how to make me the person I am today!
Thanks again for all the encouragement, support, advice and love. Hopefully I will get to celebrate with most of you at some point too! As for tonight, I have a date with Mama's homemade pansit!!! Love, Natalie xxxx The last weekend of June was pretty brilliant. Friday the 25th saw some excitable Londoners decending their way down to the town of Winchester ready for the Wedding of our lovely friends Simon and Ren. The whole event was amazing, the first out of our group of friends to get hitched, a nice percentage of our group all being their, dressed up and enjoying the amazing sunshine they were blessed with that day.
We stayed in this amazing Victorian family run hotel, they had beautiful animals and a talking parrot in the kitchen. The rooms were gorgeous, and they had such a lovely lawn. After the Wedding which was on the Saturday we took in the sites of the town, visited the Cathedral and stood on author Jane Austins tomb, hehe. Then the rest of that Sunday was headed back to Putney as it was...MY BIRTHDAY!!!! My Gorgeous boyfriend organised a little picnic party for me, and then we also watched the final England game...which we won't discuss further. The evening then decended into madness, and sweaty kareoke renditions of the current top 40. Definitely one of those times to keep in the memory bank and know how blessed I am to have the friends and family I do! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE HOTTIE THAT IS CHRISTOPHER PEACOCK MARTINEZ Bamboo fan. Humanitarian filmaker. Funny friend. Loving boyfriend. Chicks are screamin. Love. xxx Ps, he makes videos, watch one! Though late in my greeting, never late in my love.
Happy Birthday to Miss Yolande!!! Great friend, amazing poet, beautiful girl and a huge Bamboo fan. She was of of the first people to buy a dress from me!!! This day 21 one years ago my favourite Spaniard was born!!! Jeremias!
