New Products...
Well I have been making these for a while unofficially but, you can hit me up for a custom bow! Check the products and gallery section for details how to get in on this. Thanks to my lovely models Jessie and Gillian for being such beautiful sports. I love photos, however I can't say I have the same love of physically taking them. The more techinical side like lighting and shutter speeds, etc is not my thing. What I do really like is post processing a photo. It can totally change the look of an image, enhance it to capture the full moment and atmosphere that it was taken in, or just basically make a unusable photo, usable. So here is a little before and after for you all. AfterLoads of ideas come into my head randomly, and the majority of them have to do with clothes and their design. I had an idea of incorporating some more jumpers and hoodies into the mix and this is the first idea I tried out. An off the shoulder, braided trim sweater! On the left is my simple design sketch and once I gathered all the materials I was off. The final outcome came out really rough but it is something I totally want to build on as something I may want to produce in more quantities after I work out some minor kinks. I love samples, but what happens when I make these things and they are not near selling quality is that I end up with piles of pieces! Maybe once I make a few more I will hold my very own sample sale! It was a little tricky to make and I did end up having to hand sew the braided trim on as it was quite tough, my metal thimble was my best friend indeed. So while I enjoy my new cute sweater I can lounge around in you can enjoy the pictures! A Few months ago I had the above photo as one of the Banners of the Blog. The clothes I was wearing were these Natural silk kimonos that I got from HK. They arrived in the form of giant shapeless MooMoos and I have been meaning to make them int the kimono style dresses I had made previous. So after putting it off for a while I made a Purple one as requested by a lovely lady in California. So they went from this: To this (eeeeek, my room is messy): This purple dress came out looking really nice, and the Natural Silk aspect made it look so much more elegant. It now lives on the West Coast Of America living with a very happy customer. Seeing as this dress was so cute I thought I'd better make more...and I can as I have a black one and a blue one still available. I would love to make the dresses as close to the measurements of any prospective client as possible so if you are interested in a BLUE or BLACK kimono mini, hit me up on: [email protected] and we can go from there.
I'm totally loving that Summer is coming up, gorgeous Bamboo weather for sure. Love you all, Nat xoxo I put up a new TASSLE Tee on the products page...
I made it after being inspired by a Top that looked similar from American Apparel but it was like £50!!! So I got creative and made my own. After making a very successful black one loads of people were asking me about it and to make them one, so in that I have made ONE...in a lovely blue! And only at £20. So email me at: [email protected] if you want it. ONE SIZE- looks good on sizes 10-18! I think I am over not feeling my toes, wearing 2 pairs of leggings under my jeans and the multiple layers of Heat Tech under my jumpers. This past week has been pretty hectic but I have had time to work on a prototype for a Bamboo District sweater. So far it will be more of the Bamboo logo as a patch on the jumper, and with elbow patches in matching fabric. Still needs a lot of work before I even think of public selling, but here is a quick pic of it so far. I usually find it hard to translate the essence of TBD into winter wear. With more time and resources hopefully I will be able to start working on some really nice hoodie and tshirt printed designs, and get some prototypes of those out there too. I was to release a series of Tees this year at some point so if you are a graphic designer interested in working with me, hit me up!! All welcome.
On th way to the airport now, and guess what the weather forecast is: COLD. Love you all, big not small, Nat x |
