So I came across this test and it makes me happy to tell you all that I have PERFECT COLOUR VISION, yipeee. Apparently girls are better than boys at this (like a lot of things)...is it true for you, try it out.

I went to this on my lunchbreak today.... The Coninsby Gallery is right round the corner from the office I work at and numerous times I have walked past this little store front meaning to go in, but never had. Prior to this exhibition they have held other great collections but for some reason or another I never went in. So what made me break this habit... David White's Americana series! For the Sucker I am for bright colours and anything termed 'Americana' this was perfect for me. His paintings were so beautiful to see up close. The stroke or the brush and the build of the paint were all important to the final image. I actually fell in love with his image of an American Indian on paper, from what I believe to be using water colour, I'm a starer in general but I was actually ridiculous looking at it. Described as Modern Contemporary Pop art style it didn't suprise me that Dave White had created work for Nike, and was a pioneer in the whole Sneaker Art movement.
The exhibition runs until next week and I urge you to pop by to see it, especially if you are in the area. I will be back there maybe tomorrow or next tuesday...they have some sticker prints for sale including the one piece I really like...so basically, IT WILL BE MINE! Dave White: http://www.davewhiteart.com/ www.coningsbygallery.com Photo: JR, Les Bosquets ghetto, Montfermeil (93) - 2004 Lame title to a blog post I know, I apologize. However I was trying to find something to convey the substance attached to the work of Parisian artist 'JR', and that his work isn't just your plain and standard visual offering. The more I read about him and consumed all his work via, photos, videos and articles the more my heart danced and my stomach pulsed. What an affect that is, but it is all true. The thing is, behind every image and every exhibition, there is a point, there is a cause...and that is what is inspiring. I finally got some pictures developed that I took with my Fish Eye Camera, I think it stems back to July 2010! It has some snaps from California, the Boys and I's 2 year anniversary (today is our 2.5, boom) and some other random things here and there. That is the beauty of film pictures, you don't take a million shots and choose a perfect one, and the anticipation of seeing how they develop is all part of the excitement.
