Have you guys and girls ever watched Well Dunn with Jourdan Dunn before? It is already in it's third season and is part of the roster of mini productions for Jay-Z's lifestyle site Life+Times. If you do not know the premise it is basically an online Cooking show with the British model hosting a special guest (usually from the modelling or hip hop industry) while cooking up a dish. Just in case some foodie snobs be hatin, nothing about this show tries to insinuate that Jourdan is some culinary genius, but apparently she loves food, and from the few episodes I have watched really likes to try different and easy cuisines. I have posted about this particular episode as she has the rest of her Yonce model chums Chanel Iman and Joan Smalls join her, and I freakin loved that video! They talk about Queen Beyonce and their parts in the video, and basically have good time. These models are working jobs for high fashion designers to and well known commercial brands and it's really sweet to see them having a good old casual time, plus I just love Jourdan's London accent! Have a look at the video below and learn how to make some Vegan chilli! All media via Life+Times
Scribbles by Me, Photos via Pinterest I do love to eat. London is the best place to find any type of cuisine and it is top nosh too. Burgers, Thai, Lobster and Roasts... you name it, I've probably shoved it in my mouth. However im finding that with the persistent winter vibe wafting in the air, my lack of motivation for outdoor activity, then paired with my nom nom nomming of everything has inevitably led to some pudge around the ol' tummy. In the past when London experienced real, consistent summers, I really enjoyed eating salads, even boring ones. Now, when I find that I really need to eat more raw veggies and fruits then anything else... it's actually quite difficult! I think I have the eating version of S.A.D (Seasonal Affected Disorder), Winter = stodge, Summer = health. How else can I explain it. Anyway, today when I was carrying out my usual Pinterest perusal it presented me with quite a few tasty looking, and healthy food options which I am hopefully going to try soon. They too were so pretty I thought I would share them with you lovely folk aswell! Do you have any recipes that are healthy and yummy that you think I should try? Clockwise: Butternut Squash/ Asparagus/ Chickpeas/ Beetroot (Click on Photo for Recipes)
Photos stolen from: Sue I/Chris/Benny's Instagrams One of the many reason's why I can not part with London Town in favour of another British city is the choices of great places to eat. This week, joined by my posse of Sue I (Queen of the food date), Chris (the Boy) and Benny (getting hitched on Monday) we sampled the delights of popular restaurant Burger and Lobster. Their first and main restaurant in Mayfair is always packed and you look at 2hr waiting times, but the newly opened Dean Street branched saw us seated straight away. We did however get their keenly early and by the time we left the waiting area was full! Price wise it is a bit steep if you actually think of it, it's £20 for a set meal of three choices; Burger, Lobster whole or a Lobster roll. If you go for a burger I can see why you would grumble but the atmosphere and the lobster are worth it. I opted for the lobster roll as the effort to start cracking shells was non existent. It was delicious! Fresh lobster meat nestled inside a toasted homemade brioche bun covered in a Japanese style mayo was a flavour party in my mouth. It came with a melted garlic butter sauce, skinny fries and a nice crouton and parmesan salad. Apparently the salad and the fries were unlimited but I was soooo full that I didn't even need to ask. If you find your self in Mayfair or the Dean Street area of London and want a little treat, seriously check this place out!
