Happy Birthday to my mate Tate, who's birthday it was. We gave a nod to the 1920s for a night of Speakeasy socialising. Never did I see so many feathers and tassels. I opted for the fur coat and Angelina Jolie in The Changeling vibe but was boarderline looking like a fortune teller. The boys were in amazing suits and the jazz was tinkling away. Enjoy the rest of the photos...see how I did them black and white? It's to get you in the mood. A part aint a party without some time occupying the stairs. Oh how I can't resist a smacker of the jovial kind! Poor Kevin. Sorry. This is Tate. My mate. Who said bye to being twenty eight. He had a cake. Which he ate. By the end of the night the place was a state.
The stunning Shingai Shoniwa lead singer from the Noisettes has teamed up with Milliner Katherine Elizabeth for a new range of hats that will be released on ASOS. Undeniable is Shingai's style, already a staple in the UK and African fashion scenes. The range will be expectantly quirky but equal parts sassy. Miss Shoniwa is a big believer of the power of the 'hat' claiming a great hat can 'light up a room' and give some a certain 'hatitude'. Read more to see what other stylish babes will be a part of this range. Image: Vogue Korea Nov 11 Design: The Bamboo District High Fashion winter shoots Asian style? Yes please. Today's offering is via Vogue Korea. We have lots of lovely winter draping in long skirts, and wearable over coats with hints of fur (faux I hope!) I really like the boho vibes of this shoot, and inspired me to find my awesome black beanie too.
Photo & Design: The Bamboo District I have lovely friends and family. We have fun. We share love. We eat food. So let me give you a snippet of the people who I like to roll with. I have found these pictures on my camera, and they are just one or two snaps from randm events that can't really fill their own post so here they are here, they have found a home. Photo: Norman Jean Roy via Vogue. Design, Me So the Ex American President's daughter got hitched a while ago and has just released some of the wedding and engagement photos. Knowing a few people who do wedding photography, and with my own sister getting married last June and really wanting good wedding photos I know this part of the old ball and chain process is a bit of a pain. Well I guess the blessed few like Mrs Lauren (she got married to designer Ralph Lauren's kid) do not need to worry about this sort of thing when you have noted fashion Photographer Norman Jean Roy doing the snapping. So let's all look together at the few stunning pictures released and get jel.com together. Oh how funny! Telton and I both wore grey knitted jumper dresses last thursday. Tel's was a lighter grey with a colour continuity of the yarn, and I opted for a waisted speckled number. Tel kept it simpled paired with black, and matching tights, and ankle boots. I layered on with some colour with the scarf, jacket and maroon patterned tights number my black knee high socks. I totally love knee highs!!! More twinsies form Stonebridge Park to come! :)
I was clearing some old photos from my computer over the weekend and came across these super super early prototype/ideas of some Bamboo flavoured apparel. I can't believe this was 5 years ago, haha. I have made one personalised type hoodie for a friend before which she loved, working on a more legit version for next year. Watch this space.
