In homage to the fact that it is fashion season right now, and in homage to the fact that I heart NY and exceptionally in homage to Jay Z, who is married to Queen Beyonce...here is an alternative version to his hit video Empire State of Mind found at his own style blog LIFE+TIMES. Starring: Selita Ebanks, Karlie Kloss, Constance Jablonski, Jourdan Dunn, Daphne Groeneveld, Edita Vilkeviciute, Hailey Clauson, Josephine Skriver, Zuzanna Bijoch, Shu Pei, Kristina Salinovic, Martha Streck, Toni Garrn, R’el Dade, Andi Muise, Ataui Deng, Chantal Stafford-Abbot, Kelsey Rogers, Ashton Phillips, Fabiana Mayer, Sabrina Nait, Sydney Edmonds, Claire Collins, Brenda Mutoni, Naoumie Ekiko, Sonia Niekrasz, Jenny Albright, Paris, Kaitlin, Lina, & Tian. My note: Loving how Selita Ebanks is the only one who looks like she really knows the words. Haha. Yolande and MJ looking all fine and ting. Have you seen this shoot? Can I have your attention please? Great, now that I have it I will introduce to you my Wales photo snaps. Last month this tropical Bamboo Mama went into the British countryside to hang out with the sheep and hay bales. Spending time with our new extended family (my brother in laws family) we stayed in Mum and Dad Jones' listed farm house, rooms filled with masses of exitable children (some all the way from Germany) enjoying fry up breakfasts, Abba covers from the kids and good wine.

As a serial web watcher I was so happy to stumble upon this website of another fashion, an archive dedicated to showcasing the fashion history of U.S women of colour...
Image: Honestly...WTF Hello...or should I say HOLA! New York fashion week has kicked off with their offerings of what will be hot for Spring and Summer 2012. I say all this with rolled eyes currently experiencing London autumn chilly winds and loco rain spurts, but never the less we will get our minds looking forward to the sunnier times. My eyes lit up with excitement and joy when I came across Mara Hoffman's ready to wear S/S 2012 presentation of her collection, 'Mara Mexicana'. I being a fan of prints, colour and many things Mexican whooped at this amalgamation of concepts that had resulted in this beautiful collection. Everyone needs a friend like Faith Mwende, and I am so super blessed she is mine! Having coffee with her the other day she continually inspires, with her big heart, intelligence, dreams and love. She is on a pretty big adventure soon. Get to know...
Feeling inspired by the boys in my life asking and complaining (Jonathan) about when and if I would start making some guys stuff, it left me thinking about men's style in general. Nothing beats a boy in a cute outfit, looking sharp but also cool, fun but classic can really make the difference. Also, Men's fashion and style has come a long way too, and showing that there is a niche and market for all different styles. Choice is now not just limited for the ladies, the boys are coming up trumps too with so many men's style blogs filling the world wide web. Read on to see some of the boy blogs I peek...
