The colour lover in me is super surprised at some of the edits coming out of the S/S 13 Fashion weeks as it's all so very black and white (seen in Balenciaga, Balmain, Lanvin & Prada)! We all know that monochrome action is good all year round but even the severity of the cuts scream more of an autumn/winter essence to me. Not to say this is a good or bad thing I just find it weird. Speaking of the cuts nothing seems too different or straying from present trends, of short shirts, high waists, crop tops and power shoulders however those Balenciaga ruffles on the skirts are quite adventurous, unless you are a flamenco dancer then that's just standard. |

I gave in and put the heaters on in the office today. Autumn is here in full force and my woolen grey socks and black ankle lace up boots remind me of that daily. I was going to complain about not being able to utilize my cute summer outfits throughout this questionable London summer but I think I did well, especially on top of my Filipino adventure I think I have summer closure and am ready to embrace the thicker and darker items of my wardrobe. As I am trying to not buy too many clothes I think it is all about accessories and these animal inspired notes are just the thing for this season. A feather embellishment and the never ending love of leopard are the ways to go and will always be accessible in shops high street or vintage. They are always chic and with the right amount of edge. Once Milan Fashion week is over and I trawl through all the shows and pick out more trends which I think I will lean to for the next four months...actually who I am I kidding, if you are from London you know it will be more like seven months.
On a side note I got the images of the model above from Vogue Italia Curve which had some really cool behind the scenes videos of high production fashion shoots using plus size models which is always a treat. Check them out here. There are very few things that are better than a boat ride along the Thames on a summer evening's Sunset, but how about all that and in the company of all your good friends to celebrate the wedding of amazing people. Our mate Benny married the lovely Ansu in India in July and now we get to enjoy the UK party. Beautiful dresses were worn by beautiful ladies, and matching suits on the dashing fellows. There were tears of joy, laughs from shock speeches and aching feet from dancing the night away. What a brilliant night it was. Thanks #BENSU for the great party, I know married life for the two of you will be amazing, because you are an amazing couple. THE COUPLE!
