Along side my undying obsession with Queen B Beyonce I have also been mesmerized by upcoming NYC singer Mara Hruby. Her beauty and talent are all just wowie...

Today is my 25th birthday! *GASP* From midnight and until now I have received such lovely Phone calls, emails, Facebook messages, twitters and voicemails from friends and family far and wide and in real life been showered with hugs, kisses and great conversation over food! I really just want to say thank you to you all, it really means a lot. I am so happy that within these 25 years I was blessed enough to get to meet you all for you to imprint on all my experiences some how to make me the person I am today!
Thanks again for all the encouragement, support, advice and love. Hopefully I will get to celebrate with most of you at some point too! As for tonight, I have a date with Mama's homemade pansit!!! Love, Natalie xxxx This Youtube has been circulating the office today and for great reason. Working at a Advertising company we usually see the same types of campaigns through the same mediums but this ad stunt and collboration is so clever in a commercial sense (check the stats at the end of the video) but also an insight to the creative contribution that can happen in a project like this. For me personally, working on some advertising stuff for a side project this is quite an inspiration, and has opened up so many ideas and boundaries as to that advertising can me. Advertising is changing, it's really clever if you come to think of it...if not a little manipulative but then thats a whole different story there. Anyway, I went on a tangent...oh yes, check the video below, and it also features Jay-Z in it so there is fun for all! There are days when my hair is whack and my effort level is even worse, therefore numerous times the knotted hairband comes to the rescue! Check out products section, OR, do you have your own cloth? I can make up one for you with it too.
Shout out to @yellow_yemi for her instagram pic of her rocking The Bamboo District one off paisley animal print dress in the streets of New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of.
The Art world seriously confuses me. In some aspects I think it is a little pretentious, especially in the forms that are 'widely' graded as successful. I always wondered too what process occured in getting your work exhibited but I think I am learning that more and more that it is always different!
Check the video above, In the West Village on NYC a group of Artists found out that local grocery store Hecules' fancy grocery was about to shut down, on learning of this they then decided to BUY EVERYTHING IN THE STORE! What a nice thing to do for a struggling business. However the story does not end here as what they did with the goods is where it gets exciting, find out more on their website.... A few posts ago I added some pics I styled and directed for UK Streetbrand Benjart UK. UK lifestyle blog reviewed it as a 'lookbook' and though short, it was sweet. They wished 'there were MORE' images.
So obviously from THE BAMBOO DISTRICT as my own personal project I would love to work with other brands to exercise some really cool creative idea's I have. So if interested, Holla!
